OUR First Trauma!!

So now that I have wiped away all of OUR tears, Hayden had his first traumatic experience today (I'm sure it was more traumatic for me than him) He woke up early from his morning nap, and Joshua still had about 30 min. left for his nap. I had noticed that our employers had got some pumpkins and mums, and I just so happen to have overalls for Hayden to wear today, how cute of a pic would that be. So we went to the front porch to "look" at the pumpkins and flowers. Hayden liked them so much that I couldn't even get him to look at me, so I gave up and joined beside him to look at them. This is what I got.

THEN...... I am not even sure what happened, but Hayden was falling and I caught his legs while his face hit the pavement. He started Crying, as did I, and we ran inside to asess the situation. After a little panic, I tried to wipe it off, smeared it with A&D cream and went for the ice pack. After a few minutes Hayden was fine, and wanted to play some more. I called Melissa and she said it would probably fine, and I agreed. After keeping him awake as long as I could he finally took a nap, as I checked on him at least every two minutes. It now looks like road rash, but this was the soon after effect.

A goose egg, and some scratches. I believe he will be fine and he is playing like nothing happened, like scaring mommy to death!!!! And the best part, his 9 mo. check up is Wed. So hopefully they are....um....understanding. I seriously have never freaked out like that in my life. I was proud though that I took control of the situation, and stayed some what calm.

Big Boy

Hayden is growing up so fast so I decided to do a little recap of some milestones that happen this summer. Since this, Hayden is crawling all over, pulling up, and doing some cruising, and we had to lower his bead. He really keeps me on my toes, but I am loving every minute of it!

For my #? birthday, haha just kidding, it was my 24th, I will say the # since I am younger than most the people I hang out with, and of course my husband, Love you guys :) I decided to see what all the hype was about the free birthday chocolate mess at Marketplace. WOW, it was amazing. Hayden was eyeing it the whole time, of course I didn't allow him to have any despite Tim's pleading that it would "make him happy" ha! of course it would.

Daddy also set up some candy bars and cards in Hayden's crib, and then sat him up in it. What a great gift, the baby, of course!! The candy bars weren't bad either ;) He bought me an adorable card "from Hayden" and even let him scribble in it, it was so cute, What a great first birthday as a mommy. I think he might have inherited him mommy's sweet teeth.

Hayden has been in his big boy car seat for a while now. He liked it at first, but he starting to get where he will cry when I strap him in, and he just wants to stand up in it, and when you take him out he just reaches for you like you can't get him out fast enough, but I love his seat. It is a Britax Decathalon and grandma and grandpa Bullock contributed to the cost for my birthday, that is right my birthday, but I am glad I sprung for a nice seat and I got a really good deal on it.

When we are at home, Hayden now eats his meals in his booster seat, he really does like it and I do too. We had to go with one that straps to the chair becasue we really don't have room for a high chair.

I like to consider myself as a mom who can make things work on a budget, and this may sound sad, but Hayden was getting bigger and there were some things that he needed, so I threw him a happy six month birthday, I had to have a reason to go out and buy all these things.

Hayden is now crawling everywhere, this was when he first started crawling.

And last, but not least......TEETH. I never expected Hayden's teeth to start coming in at 7 mo. and 1 day. This was when they first came through, now they stick right out and are no problem to see.

Sneak Peek

NO, it is NOT an ultrasound pic. Ha!

For Hayden's first birthday I wanted to do a Red Wagon theme, I saw the set and was in love, but i don't think at 1 he will be quite ready for a real Radio Flyer that we, by we I mean Tim, I, and Grandma and Grandpa Bullock;) want to get to go along with the theme, so we are saving that for b-day #2. I saw a cake on the show Cake Boss and LOVED it, it is simple and so cute. So I decied to go with just a color theme and keep it simple. I got a few supplies today as I plan to do for the next 4 mo. That is Chocolate Brown and Teal. Love, Love, Love these two colors together. It will be quite a colorful b-day. Save the Date for either January 9 or 16, I have to talk to Erica first:) However you will probably need both Saturday's open :)

Back in July we took Hayden on his first vacation, and it was a long one. We left on a Friday morning to meet Tim's sisters, Marc, Amber, and Ashlyn came for just the weekend for the 4th of July. We stayed until that next Saturday and were able to take Hayden to some of our fav SL spots and a few new ones. It was a lot of fun, but being gone for over a week with a baby was a lot of work, not to mention the six bags, pac n play, stroller, ect. We went to a new water park which was fun and I think Hayden enjoyed it, but the pics are still on the cam. Not to self: next time we go to a water park, bring someone to play with Hayden so Tim and I can do some things together. Since we switched back and forth being with Hayden in the kiddie section, we never did anything together. However, I have a feeling we might as well get used to that.

A pic with some cousins.

This was the first time Hayden met his aunt Brenda.

Tim and I LOVE the St. Louis Zoo, it is for sure one of our favorite places to go, and I was so excited to take Hayden there for his first zoo trip. He did so good and was such a good boy. We will be taking him back and hopefully can be zoo frequenters, not just SL zoo.

Their newest exhibit is getting to pet the sting rays, it took me a while to get up the courage to actually touch the things. The lady was like, "if it makes you feel any better their stingers have been removed" ha! no, that didn't make me feel any better. Of course, I did not let Hayden touch them, but he did like to look at them. Tim even fed one. You put this half of a nasty minnow between your fingers and it just comes right up and grabs it from your hand with it's mouth wich is on the bottom of it's body- No Way I was doing that!

We LOVE the penguin exhibit, it is the best one we have ever seen and it was nice to get out of the heat, because it is really cold in there. Hayden is a penguin lover too, just like his parents. We bought him a souvenir mommy and baby penguin stuffed animal, it is so cute

We were getting our traditional penguin entrance pic, when a small zoo train went by and blew it's horn, and practically scared Hayden to death, it is hard to see in this pic, but he is doing the pouty lip and I just knew he would burst into tears any second, but he didn't.

The baby giraffe was Adorable!

At the science center Hayden got his first build a bear, a dinosuar, and daddy got a cardinals shirt for it.

I wanted to go to the mall, and while we were there, Tim got a huge suprise, long story short, we got autographed books from Kurt and Brenda warner, who said that Hayden was so cute, and asked how old he was, of course, he slept through the whole thing. Tim was mad becasue he just knew they would let him get his pic (even though no one was allowed to) if Hayden would have smiled at them. They were very nice. For those who don't know Kurt warner was the quarterback for the SL Rams and now he is for some other team, and he is a christian. Info that I, at the time, didn't know, or care :)

We also toured the new Cardinals stadium. Hayden did so good the whole long tour, and believe me it was long, and boring, even the other tourist were saying what a good baby he was, he made for so long and then right before the best part, the field and dugout, he fell asleep, again making his daddy upset that he missed the best part, but he was tuckered, I still can't believe how good he did the whole trip. Me and an asleep Hayden in front of home plate. woopee. We also got our pics made in the dugout.
Hayden got to meet this very special man for the first time. This is Pastor Carnagey, he is very special to Tim and this will be a picture that I hope he can cherish forever. PC is not doing so good right now, and I ask that any one who reads this please pray for him, Tim actually calls him his grandpa.

We celebrated Hayden's first Fourth of July. He was getting sleepy and was a little fussy, and it was H-O-T hot, but when the fireworks started he just stared at them, a few of them scared him and he gave me a pouty lip, but for the most part, his eyes were glued. BTW- I got this onsie at Old Navy last year after the fourth of July for $2, It says Mommy's Little Sparkler, and I love it. I think it is 3-6, but I hope all my baby's can wear it on their first fourth of July's. That would be a great $2 investment!

A new visit to Tim and I was Grant's Farm. It was fun, they have a lot of animals. Hayden liked the llama.
This is what happened when he wanted more of his first soow cone.
Aunt Lisa gave him a taste of his first snow cone.

And YES, with out my condolance that is my 6 mo. old infant touching a snake. I have nothing else to say.

We fed the baby goats, I think they were more interested in eating our stroller. They were really cute. And so ends Hayden's first vacation. It was a huge success and I look forward to many more family vacations.

Hilarious

A month or so ago I thought I would be nice and give Hayden a strawberry banana star puff thing, but apparently it was not a treat, and he did not like it. It was so funny to see his face I was laughing so hard, so pay no pay attention to me on the video.

FYI

O.k. so it should be wondering not wandering if you are wandering, then the previous post will be of no help to you.

FYI

O.K. so I am so behind in updating, but since I started babysitting, I am pretty much behind in everything else too, so there ya go. I just wanted to share this with anyone wandering, because I was one of the ones wondering. Since I am around baby's all day, I was looking forward to a nice Friday night date night about two weeks ago, no kid just me and the hubbs. I was soooooo hoping to try out the new T.G.I. Friday's in Conway, but for me, and all of those of you who are wondering, the awnser is ,Yes, they do serve alochol, I don't even know how to spell alochol, so don't correct me if I am wrong, because I don't need to know how to spell it. So in great dissapointment we headed to old faithful, Due Amiche.

The student has become the teacher.

Robin, or should I say "Ms. Robin" was my teacher in one of my college classes, however, she also is one of the craftiest talents I know. So I stole one of her ideas and made a wipe case for my cousin. I was pretty excited that it turned out o.k. for my first try. Baby Julian's nursery is red, white, and blue airplanes. I also made him a matching burp cloth, but forgot to take a pic, it was not quite as good as the case, but acceptable. I will be making another one for my other cousin, Tim's sister, and our friend that lives in MO. I will let ya know how they turn out.

This is a collaborative video of Hayden's adorable laugh. The very first part was recorded on my mother's day card. If you have children you know that as soon as you pull out the camera they stop doing whatever it is they are doing, so we were excited to get this, even though it is not his best. Enjoy, may it make you smile and your day brighter, it sure does mine:)

Blessed

I forgot to mention, I got a photo keycahin with a pic of Hayden. I am so very blessed. I love you Hayden and I am so happy to be your mommy!!!

Mother's Day 2009

This mother's day I celebrated my very first mother's day, it was very special to me, and daddy did a good job of making me feel loved.

Me and my little man.

I won the coursage for youngest mother, I also had the youngest baby, but since Audrey is only two hours older than Hayden, Bor. Eddie said that wasn't enough for me to win two coursages, I think that was fair. I really was very excited to win a coursage on my first mother's day, I had been anticipating the youngest baby one all week, so I was suprised when I won youngest mother.

Daddy and Hayden brought me brakfast in bed on Sunday morning along with my new digital picture frame full of pics of my wonderful boys and me.

I got two new cricut cartridges.

A card with a recording of Hayden's cutest little laugh.

Growing Boy

O.K., so I know I am sooooo far behind, so instead of trying to play catch up, I am just going to start with the present. Hayden is getting bigger by the second- four months old now.
With the cutest little smile, he is usually happy all the time.

All Smiles

Except when he get upset, and gives you the sadest, most pathetic little pout on the planet, he has done this since he was born and it is so hard not to laugh at him. This will be getting him whatever he wants from us.

So Sad
