Five years and counting

Today my wonderful husband and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary. Time sure flies when you are having fun:) Tim and I met through some pretty unique circumstances and we continue to have unique lives. I won't bore you with our story, most know it anyway, but if you don't and want to, just let me know. Here we are so happy and engaged in May 2004. I mentioned it already, we are unique, how many people can say they got engaged at Toad Suck Square, well my guess is one............ me.

Our wedding photos were not taken with a digital cam so this was the best I could find. We were married on March 12, 2005, my spring break from school. We married at my home church in Mena, Arkansas. Our wedding was great, small, nice, fun. I had found the perfect dress and my parents pretty much let me have what I wanted, not that I am spoiled, i'm just the only girl ;) Here we are being pronounced as husband and wife!!

We left that evening for New Orleans, LA, where our cruise ship would be leaving for the Carribean. While dating we always joked about if we got married we should go on this fancy Carribean cruise, and when honeymoon decision time came we were like, let's just do it, so we did, and it was wonderful!! We ate so much, the resteraunts were awesome and we did freestyle cruising, which is what I totally reccomend, so we could eat wherever, whenever.

We had so much fun, just being together.

One year later, on our First Anniversary we took a trip to St. Louis. And yes, we ate our year old frozen cake, it really wasn't THAT bad.

It was my first time to ride up in the arch.
We ate at the fanciest restuarant we ever eaten at, even to this day! It was so nice, but we felt a little out of place, some of the wiaters were pretty snooty, but we got a new guy who was so nice, by now, if he is still there, he is probably stuck up too. Nonetheless, it was a nice treat for us.
We have had a lot of fun over our past five years, and I expect nothing less of our next 60 or so!!

Of course now we have added one more to the mix, and couldn't be happier!!!!! Happy Anniversary Babe, I love you so much and can't wait to grow old with you, even though you will get there before me, and see what the future holds for us. And sorry to anyone who is now totally bored after reading all my boring and mushy stuff :)

Christmas at Granny and Paw Paw's

Hayden is the first gandchild for my dad, my mom has one, but she hasn't seen him in 3 years, so it would be a safe bet to say- He IS the FIRST grandchild, and boy does it show!! He is SPOILED x12. Bro Eddie mentioned one service that the reason we have spoiled kids is becasue we can't spank their grandparents, and all I can say is Amen!! Hayden got SO many gifts from them, but he also had to help them open thier gifts too. This is him explaining that he helped pick out this hat for paw paw, Hayden is one paw paw's boy.
He was so excited that paw paw got him a razorback sippy cup to match paw paw's new hat. See all those gifts beside Hayden, YES, they are ALL his, and I am covering up the rest!!

He also loved his pop up books!
And the Little People ride on Firetruck!!!!!

Which Paw Paw, of course, had to open IMMEDIATELY!
And it is oh, so much fun!!! It has lights and sounds, and music.......... And it stays at their house!! :) It is the first thing Hayden goes to as soon as we get there. He is just a bit too short for it, but soon he will be riding all over the place on it.
We were ssssooo excited to get our wii, mostly becasue I got us the wii fit :) However recently we hadn't played it much since our nephew(who is living with us for a few months) has it occupied, and I am NOT doing wii fit in front of other people.

I also was SUPER excited to get my own sewing machine, I have always been borrowing my mom's, so I guess she was tired of it, so when my darling husband approached her with the idea she jumped on it :)

And mom was also super excited to recieve her record/CD/whatever else it plays, player. Ha ha, note the new Elvis Cd next to her ;) And that concludes Christmas with my parents, stay tuned, there is more to come :)

Hayden's First Christmas- Part 1

I am going to jump back a little becasue I want to share Hayden's first Christmas. I will have to do it in parts, so here is part one. Hayden helped us put up the tree and lights.

He also helped daddy put the star on top,
and put on his very first ornament.
Well, here it is, the previously announced $40 ornament. It is a little bear with a gift in a carriage, with a ribbon across the top saying "Baby's First Christmas" and a little heart at the top on the string that says 2009. There really wasn't one that we just "loved" so we agreed on this one, Tim thought the shoes were too girly, even the one with blue on them, this from the man who won't even let me buy Hayden a play kitchen.

I'm sure you can read the engraving, but if you can't, it says: Hayden Ibarra, 1-12-09, Love, mom and dad.

I found this ornament online and thought it would be so cute to have for our first Christmas as a family of 3. The bottom says: Our first Christmas as mommy and daddy. The website has them where we can get a new one each time we add a family member, which will not be this Christmas, ha!! :) I also bought one for last year that is a pregnant sowlady, and one for dad that was a rocking horse with a little bear on it and it said: Paw Paw's First Christmas.

I guess actually this was Hayden's first ornament, Tim bought it for me last year for Christmas while I was very pregnant. It doesn't have a year on it, so it can be our little secret :)

Our little Santa, I couldn't believe he was still wearing the hat!

Isn't he just the cutest!! Yes, that is his big wheel in the background, although he wont be gatting it for a year or two. It was over half off on black Friday, and I couldn't resist, it is a Radio Flyer big wheel for $20. I am assuming this was the only year we could just leave gifts lying around.
and the Christmas anticipation is growing........ The rest of Christmas will be coming soon!
