The student has become the teacher.

Robin, or should I say "Ms. Robin" was my teacher in one of my college classes, however, she also is one of the craftiest talents I know. So I stole one of her ideas and made a wipe case for my cousin. I was pretty excited that it turned out o.k. for my first try. Baby Julian's nursery is red, white, and blue airplanes. I also made him a matching burp cloth, but forgot to take a pic, it was not quite as good as the case, but acceptable. I will be making another one for my other cousin, Tim's sister, and our friend that lives in MO. I will let ya know how they turn out.

video

This is a collaborative video of Hayden's adorable laugh. The very first part was recorded on my mother's day card. If you have children you know that as soon as you pull out the camera they stop doing whatever it is they are doing, so we were excited to get this, even though it is not his best. Enjoy, may it make you smile and your day brighter, it sure does mine:)

Blessed

I forgot to mention, I got a photo keycahin with a pic of Hayden. I am so very blessed. I love you Hayden and I am so happy to be your mommy!!!

Mother's Day 2009

This mother's day I celebrated my very first mother's day, it was very special to me, and daddy did a good job of making me feel loved.

Me and my little man.

I won the coursage for youngest mother, I also had the youngest baby, but since Audrey is only two hours older than Hayden, Bor. Eddie said that wasn't enough for me to win two coursages, I think that was fair. I really was very excited to win a coursage on my first mother's day, I had been anticipating the youngest baby one all week, so I was suprised when I won youngest mother.

Daddy and Hayden brought me brakfast in bed on Sunday morning along with my new digital picture frame full of pics of my wonderful boys and me.

I got two new cricut cartridges.

A card with a recording of Hayden's cutest little laugh.

Growing Boy

O.K., so I know I am sooooo far behind, so instead of trying to play catch up, I am just going to start with the present. Hayden is getting bigger by the second- four months old now.
With the cutest little smile, he is usually happy all the time.

All Smiles

Except when he get upset, and gives you the sadest, most pathetic little pout on the planet, he has done this since he was born and it is so hard not to laugh at him. This will be getting him whatever he wants from us.

So Sad

Tried to update

My computer is taking forever to upload pics even after the photo resize and of course now Hayden is screaming, will try again some time. Stinks to be out in the boonies where ATT high speed is unavailable to us, and it stinks to be poor and not be able to afford cable high speed internet.

Hayden's Newborn Portraits

I decided it was time to put Tim's fancy camera to some real work, after all its intended purpose is to take portraits of Hayden. Well, easier said than done, keeping him awake was the easy part, I had just fed him and he seemed like he was still hungry, so fingers straight to mouth, then he peed everywhere, but I am sure all you mommas are saying duh Angela, what did you expect, and exactly that, the reason why we decided to take these pics at home instead of dealing with it at a studio. I think the pics are good, and we will try to do some more nice ones later on. I am a little leary of putting pics of my unclothed child on the internet, but they are so cute I have to share them with everyone.

He is so cute. (Bias mother opinion)

I've seen those cute pics of the parents holding the baby's, but he was a little bit big, we maybe will try one with Tim and my hands, if we decide to brave this again. Maybe one of him Sleeping would still be cute.

The thinker pose.
Our Bundle of Joy, a true gift from God.

Such a happy boy.

There's that face again.

Precious baby boy

I am loving this whole sahm stuff, and Tim has morphed his photo trigger happy finger to me and poor Hayden is suffering from it. He is so cute, and just asking to be photographed.
This is Hayden on the blanket that his grandma Sandy made for him.

We took our stork pictures on Sunday and I worked so hard to keep Hayden awake when daddy got home from church, so his eyes would be open in the picture, and then found out we facing directly into the sun, so all of our eyes are almost shut and poor Hayden wasn't even thinking of opening his, maybe we can try again this weekend, if Mrs.Robin will let us keep the stork that long.

Hayden's first stroll, all the way to the mailbox, a few yards, maybe.

He seemed to enjoy it.

I love these little shoes! They look so cute of his little feet.

Mommy's Little Man.

I hope there aren't any flies in our house. I think this is an Ibarra trait, becasue all the Ibarra grandkids sit or sleep with their mouths wide open.

Maybe Hayden is getting a little tired of the constant flashes in his eyes. That is a little bit of a mean face, must get it from his daddy.
Our doctor's office gives everyone a blanket with the baby's name and birthdate on it, I think that is so sweet, and I love the blanket.
I wonder what he is thinking here?

Cousin Christopher finally got to meet baby Hayden. He was sweet and held him and kissed him and then said he was done. Jayson was pretty much not interested in the baby.

My boys doing what they do best! How sweet is that.
Why can't he be this sweet all the time?
O.K., last Saturday I swore I saw Hayden smile like a real, mommy is funny, not I have gas smile, but you are thinking he was 6 days old he can't be really smiling, so I blew it off. Later that night, Tim's mom came to visit and she and my mom both saw him smiling more than once, so that confirmed that I wasn't just the over excited mom, well he has been doing it ever since so now I have some proof, of course you can never catch the really good smiles, but I think these are enough to prove that he can do it. These were taken today, the kid is not even two weeks old yet.

I awoke today to this.......... normal sized feet!!!!! That may not be of any significance to any one else, but those of you who had seen them now how excited I am and how much better I am feeling now that I can walk. I don't think they have been this small in at least 3 months.

Hayden is Here!!!!!

We are so excited that Hayden is here and he is home with us.

Mrs. Becky and Mrs Jennifer threw us a shower on Saturday before Hayden came. It was a very nice shower and we got lots of great gifts.

Here we are bright and early Monday morning January 12, 2009. We are sbout to go to the hospital to have our baby! This is when the nerves staeted setting in, I told Tim about half way there that we should just turn around and go back, but it was too late to turn back.

Our bundle of joy only hours away.

We made it to the hospital and got checked in and into our room really fast, we were both suprised how early we got things going. This picture was just me getting the IV, I had no idea of what was yet to come!
Dialation went really quick, we started at 3, and was at 10 around 2:30 and ready to push, somewhere in there was an epidural, and a second dose of epidural juice, since I could feel the contractions in my stomach. Then at 2:30 we bagan the delivery process, after an hour of pushing, the nurses decided that the epidural needed to be turned off COMPLETELY, that is right, no more pain meds, so after feeling contraction for another hour and a half, that is now two and a half hours of pushing, we find out mr. hayden is turned with his face up and pretty much stuck, so now we go in for a c-section. Then at 5:54 P.M. Hayden makes his arrival!!!!!

Daddy brings him into the nursery for everyone to see.

Daddy also tries his hand at calming Hayden, who was apparently screaming pretty loud.

After a few hours, mommy finally get to hold her new baby boy

Daddy had to get Hayden dressed to go home. I think he would agree it was not the easiest thing he has ever done.

Finally, he was ready to go.

First, we have to buckle him up.

and we get a ride to the front.

and daddy puts the car seat in.

Finally home and Hayden gets a tour of his room
He really likes his swing.
Dad couldn't resist but to show off his packer pride.

First bath.

and mommy couldn't resist but to play with his hair.

Here we are about to take Hayden on his first outing to the doctor. He is all buckled up and ready to go.

Oh Baby

These will all be a little backwards when you look at all this.

There is nothing like going to the doctor for your 37 week appt. and when she checks you she says "Oh yeah, we need to induce" not that I didn't see it coming, but it is still sinking in. So Hayden will be coming a week from today! We will be inducing on Monday, January 12th. Nothing like that information to put a fire under the whole getting ready thing. So tonight we worked on Hayden's room. You will notice the changed theme, after months of arguing over Raggedy ann and andy for a boy, it is now been changed to just dots in blue and yellow.

These are his letters I painted dots on.
His toy and book chest. We did have some compromise and the dolls are staying, the mobile is staying too, and I still have some Raggedy ann and andy pictures to hang here above the toy chest.

His adorable red dot rug that matches the former theme a lot better, but it still works, it is a lot more red than burgandy like it looks in this picture.

His Room. With new bedding that we just got in last week. Who ever said we were procrastinators. Any way it all ties in pretty good together, and now we are ready for Hayden, literally next week!!!! :)

Fort Rock

The week after Christmas we went to St. Paul to take pics and video for a new family camp. We are putting together a promotional video for them to send to churches. It is a really beautiful place.

Tim got to do all the fun stuff, rifle range, archery, and ride the horses, I, of course, passed on the horse riding, but we still had fun and Tim preached for the church Wednesday night and we made it back in time for a round of five in a bowl, some good food, and the new year countdown.

Keisha's Wedding

Keisha and Charles got married on December 27th. The wedding turned out good, despite some bad weather. Everything looked great and Keisha was absolutely beautiful. Her dress was goergoues, of course I already knew that, the first time she tried it on we all started crying and knew it was "the one."

The whole wedding party looking good. Pay no attention to that huge 9 month pregnant bridesmaid.

Robin and I looking beautiful and cheesing it up.

We just couldn't let the rain mess up our hair, so for some reason there was some plastic sheething in the brides room, so we used it to cover us on our treck from the room to the wedding site, it wasn't a long way, but it sure felt long to us, the wind was blowing like crazy, and the bottoms of our dresses got a little wet. Definately a memorable moment.
Here I am waiting to practice my turn down the aisle. This is where the wedding was suppose to take place, but couldn't due to the incliment weather.

Should we really make daddy's "Practice" giving their daughters away? Isn't it brutal enough.

Christmas 2008

We did the Monday before Christmas with my family, then came home and did our Christmas. We were in Mena on Christmas eve and day. My dad's birthday is the 24th so we went there and had dinner and a party .

Tim is into this whole superman thing, so I thought this would be a really cute ornament for Hayden next year. I got Tim the first six seasons of Smallville and made him open them individually.

I got a recipt for Christmas!? I have been wanting a sofa table and so Tim got me one, but it won't be in until February, bummer, my other gift is my video camer which hopefully will be in this week.

Christmas with my parents revolved a lot around Hayden this year.

I got mom and dad baskets that were full of grandma and granpa stuff.

Hayden's adorable razorback piggy bank- I guess it is time to start his college fund.

Tim got his traditional animated rudolph character, this is number four of the series.

He also got all four of the original superman movies.

This was Ashlyn's debut in the Christmas play at church, the nursery always sings Jesus loves me.

Baby Moon

Tim had some rollover vacation days that had to be used up this month, so I thought what a perfect chance for our baby moon. You know that one last trip where you are past morning sickness, not quite so big and miserable, and don't have to find a babysitter. So we decided to take a small trip to Branson. We saw a few shows and did some shopping. We saw a magician, Kirby vanburch, Dixie Stampede, and Spirit of the dance. We stayed with my former preachers daughter's family, Janet and Nathan. They are so much fun and we had a blast hanging out with them.

Anyone who knows Tim knows he is quite the ham, no shy man in him. However, if you really want to get him stirred up just break out the karoke, he is always ready to perform. I am not sure what exactly he is doing in these pics, but it looks like a air quitar of sorts, or an irish jig, you make the call.

Tim and Janet doing mario racing on the wii. You have to actually run to get your guy to go, by the time it was all said and done, Ithought Tim might have a heart attack, or at least pass out, but it was great exercise.

Tim and Nathan wii boxing.
We enjoyed the fountain/fire show at the landing.

Us by the fountain.

We went and saw Dixie Stampede. This was the first time for both of us, I thought it was good.

Our last show we saw was spirit of the dance.

We ended our vacation on Sunday. We actually were back in town about 1:30 that morining, but we went to the 2008 Olympic All Stars tour at Alltel Arena. This was between church, so we were at both services for those wondering. The show was awesome. I remeber staying up late watching them in Bejing, so it was cool to see them right in front of us.
This is the male co-star from Hannah Montana, I forgot his name, but he was the opening act, and all the little girls were screaming and going crazy, it is funny to think that maybe I used to be like that. Somehow I missed A pic of Nastia Luken, but she was there too.
Shawn Johnson floor routine.
Shawn Johnson balance beam routine.
The Ham brothers.

Ashlyn's Shower

We recently celebrated Ashlyn's upcoming arrival, Like any minute the phone could ring arrival, with a big shower. The shower went great, a great time was had by all.

Mrs. Mariciela's cake was very cute.
Tim had a weird fascination with Ashlyn's new toy squirrel. He for some reason thought it was just the greatest thing Ashlyn recieved. I am sure we will now have to find one for Hayden. Personally, I think the squirell is a little creepy.

The guys were to provide wipes and diapers, so "Tim" provided this lovely wipe case. Yes, I did all the work and he got the credit. Hayden has a matching one in blue and green. I am telling on Robins "Unnamed Male", it was Uncle Tim with the bedazzled wipe case.

We are ready to stroll.

O.K., I am going to go stir crazy trying to get my husband to download the scanner software. However I have to say that he has been busy. He had to put together the stroller even though I put most of it together. Of course he was sleeping so I have no documentation of that, he came in at the very end and put the wheels on. My parents wanted to get us the combo, so I went ahead and ordered it since it is discontinued and didn't know how long it would be available, and it is not available in stores, online only. So here is daddy doing his duty of assembling Hayden's stroller.

Finished Product!!!! Here is his combo, the stroller and car seat, it is so cute, I can't wait to put him in it and take him for a stroll.

Inspiration

Anyone living in Conway better watch out, cause inspiration must be in the water. I just read about Robin and Kibbie's 2 1/2+ jog, wow ladies good job, and then there is marc who is going above and beyond, with his 12 mile run coming up next month, which has inspired Tim to start a workout program, which he has been doing good with, of course I am sure it has nothing to do with a little twinly competition ;) but hey if it works I say it is all good. I am proud to announce I am starting my second week of walking, yes, just walking, but at a fairly good pace, with my mom. Stefanee joined us today and we went almost an hour at full pace, wich sounds easy, but not so much when you are not used to it and not to mention that Hayden is weighing in at a whopping pound these days. Everyone keep up the good work.

Snag

I know I have passed my goal, that is why it is a goal, right? and not a definite. We got a new lap top and have not installed the printer/scanner software yet. I tried to install it and of course it did not work. So, I will make Tim install the software this weekend, and then get busy with the pictures of Hayden.

It's official.....at least for now

We have decided on the name Hayden Carter Joseph Ibarra. I know it is a long name, but the Joseph is a family tribute name to my uncle who died of cancer several years ago. He and his wife picked Daniel and I up for church when we moved to Mena before I could drive, if not for him I can't say for sure I would have got back in church, being so young and not really knowing where to go to church in a new town, it was Bro. Floyd's church and I stayed there till I left for Conway. Joe was a godly man who was to be looked up to and I am honored to give Hayden his name. We won't really actually use it that much it will just be his legal name, and just to know that it is there. When he is in big trouble I will stick to Hayden Carter Ibarra. I do not plan to change the name, but you know how these things go, but I'm pretty sure it is here to stay.
I will try to get the ultrasound pics on this week, my goal is tomorrow or the next day.
