Aunt Brenda's Wedding!

Tim's sister Brenda got married on July 2nd at our church in Conway. It was a nice, simple family and friends gathering. We are so excited for her and her new husband, Stephen. Below is the the family from both sides...there are a lot of us ha ha.

So we were all dressed in our wedding finest, and Hayden looked so cute!! I don't know why this is typing like this, please ignore.....

Cheese Heads and Warm, Lazy Days

In case you didn't know......The Packers won the super bowl!!!!!! O.k. so I am almost 3 months late with this information, sorry to spoil it for anyone who hasn't gotten to their dvrd recording yet, ha ha ha. Anyway, in our house this is a very BIG deal! For a man who was born in Wisconsin, and sometimes maybe forgets that he no longer lives there. I am happy because Tim is happy and easier to live with :) so wooo hooo Go pack Go! :) Of course, Tim decided to drag out SOME of his packer gear despite the fact that it is all packed away in boxes. He also thought Hayden needed in on the action. Hayden is one cute fan if I do say so myself, and now we will have to break out the razorback stuff.

I don't think he likes the hat.

We have been having some amazing weather lately, and some crazy freezing in April weather too. Hayden got this trycicle from his memaw for his birthday, but I asked Tim not to put it together until it got warmer outside. Well, we were at home one day and it was one of those amazing weather days, so I pulled out those fifty pieces and went to town on this thing, and I put it together all by myself.....and it hasn't even fallen apart yet! :) Hayden loves it and I do too. The adult bar is perfect height, and I have complete steering/speed control and it teaches him how to work the petals as I push. Then when he gets a little taller and can do it himself, I just remove the bar, it is awesome.

Hayden loves playing outside, especailly throwing rocks......we are working on that one.

After a hard day of play it is time for a little rest. Ha ha, this cracks me up. He is his daddy's son!

Memory Lane

Now that Tim and I are considering starting this baby thing all over again, I am realizing there are a few things I would like to do or at least start before I have to do them between bouts of running to the bathroom to puke. (However since everyone says every pregnancy is different, I am really hoping not to get as sick next time around. I would even be happy if it ends at 20 weeks!! and doesn't come back. 7 months of constant puking was too much! I even threw up 3 times the day he was born! Anway just throwing that in for Luck.) I really want to finish some things, like his quilt, baby quilt, that is. The thing i really want to finish the most before the next baby is hayden's baby scrapbook. So, I have been organizing and getting ready to print all of his pics since birth that I want to use for the book, whoo, what a project it has been. Going through all his pics is reminding me of the time when he was just so little. So I decided I would take a little trip down memory lane.......where do these days go????

I am so glad he has come to actually really enjoy bathtime, cause for a while it was the most miserable thing for him, as you can see.
Sigh. oh goodness he was such an amazing baby!

He still pouts that lip! and we still can't help but to turn our face away from him and laugh!

My heart aches for these sweet days gone by, and rejoices for the exciting stuff to come.

I can honestly say I have no regrets from Hayden's infancy. I spent hours just holding him, despite people saying not to, because it would "spoil" him. I knew the times when it would be fine, and when it would be better to let him be. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with him the first 6 months, and been able to keep him with me while I work babysitting. I for sure miss those days, but also am LOVING watching this toddler turn into an amazing little boy. With all that said, I look forward to hopefully, Lord willing, holding another little one for hours, just staring at them, knowing that they grow up SO FAST!

Hayden is Two

I had long since decided that I wanted to get Hayden a little red wagon for his second birthday. So I decided to make that the theme. We had some pics taken with him in it, but I haven't gotten them back yet, so for now, this is the best I can do. He really likes it, but it is really more for summer when he is a little older cause right now he likes to stand in it and while taking our pics Tim had to save him from a concrete nose dive that could have been REAL ugly.

I started by sending out these invites. They went out just a little over a week before the party, sad, I know. That is what happens when your child is born so close after the holidays. I had cut all the pieces back before Thanksgiving for that very reason, but assembly didn't happen as soon as I had hoped.

I made so simple centerpieces/favor holders. I did the same for his first birthday and it made things so much easier.

There isn't a lot of things that fit in these little tubes. Since it was wagon, I was thinking childhood fun, old fashioned. So, in the bottom is a piece of sidewalk chalk, then candy buttons, and a candy stick, i got those two items from cracker barrel. I thought the bubbles would fit in the tube, but it didn't so I tied it on, as well as some chocolate covered rice krispies cut into an H and 2, and a tag that says: thanks for coming to my birthday party love, Hayden.

I saw this cake once on the internet about a year ago and said that is for sure the one I want to do. So when time came to look at it again....I couldn't find it ANYWHERE! I gooogled, and googled, and googled some more. I have no clue where it was or where it went. So from memory it was. I did read the comments on it thank goodness. So I remebered it said for handle and wheels to use tiny cupcakes, glad I remebered cause that made all the difference. It looks a little rough, but I have no formal cake experience, so I was pretty happy with it. It also tasted really good, so, smiles all around.

We were very excited to have our "Special Guest" come and entertain us!! It just so happen that Tricky Ricky was coming to preach at our church that Sunday. We Love Bro. Ricky, he is like a part of our family. He is so funny, and nice, and has enough stories to talk for at least 3 weeks straight :) You laugh, you cry, your inspired, and heartbroken. He is really amazing. Hayden crawled right up next to him to sit.

He started out by giving everyone "Big Buck" Hope the kids don't spend it all in one place :)

Then performed a few tricks for us. See the empty container....

then, he pulled out this monkey!!!! Amazing:) The adults were just as entertained as the kids. This thing is funny cause you take away its banana and it kicks and cries.

Then he drew some cars on a napkin and lit them on fire!! Put the top on the container and BAM!! They came to life! He gave them to Hayden for his birthday, along with the monkey.

Hayden got some awesome gifts. We have the most wonderful friends and family, I don't know how we got so blessed! Hayden was just as excited about the cards, ha ha. Just look at that expression :)

And we have decided to promote very early literacy.

I won't bore you with 15 pics of us opening gifts, ha ha. We sang happy birthday, he (with quite a bit of help) blew out the candles and we all had cake. Happy Birthday to my little boy, I can't believe how big you are getting. We love you so much. I hope you enjoyed this birthday, because next year mommy may not be feeling up to a big shindig, if you know what I mean ;) ;)
